Five Funny Lion Pictures

When it comes to funny lion pictures these five are king! Created by the team of Lund Roser (Stephanie D. Roeser and John Lund), these photos were created using photos of lion that john photographed in his studio. In case you’re wondering, it cost $5,000 to rent the lion for 45 minutes! But nonetheless, using these photo raw materials Stephane and John have created numerous anthropomorphic lion images. These humorous lion pictures include  a “Shocked and surprised lion”, a lion with a new hat (pith helmet) that “Came with the meal”, a new take on a “Mountain Lion”, a lion relaxing in a recliner, and the coolest cat of them all.

These funny “Big Cat” pictures not only make for fun viewing on the web, but are great for unique wall decor in the form of fine art photographic prints, have been used for humorous greeting cards )i.e. the lion in the easy chair is, for example, a Father’s Day card), and are available for licensing as stock photos.  These make great additions to children’s rooms, vet waiting rooms, and any room in which an unusual conversation starter is needed.

When photographing the lion we had a number of rules the animal trainer required of us. The trainers were using chunks of beef to motivate the lion. If a one of the beef chunks were to end up being batted away were were told under no circumstances were we to try and retrieve the beef chunk. We were told to get rid of all the small sandbags that are used in a photo studio to brace light stands and such. When I asked why I was told that the lion might think they were rodents and would have to kill us to keep them for himself. Okay…no sand bags! Were were also told to cover anything we didn’t want “marked” because the lion can spray over a distance of 15 feet. Nice!

We have over 700 (and growing) anthropomorphic animal images to choose from on our lundroeser.com website. If you don’t find the exact image you are looking for we can create a custom one for you using a library of animal images captured over a 40 professional photography career.
