Photo Sharing has exploded onto the Internet scene, and the world, but still lacks adequate conceptual imagery depicting such an occurrence. This image that shows an endless stream of photos passing through the sky is perfect for illustrating the act and process of photo sharing. By adding streaking colored lights into the mix the idea of the imagery as streaming over the Internet is cemented as well. The photos that have been uploaded in this image include places, people and things representing the diverse collection of pictures currently being uploaded to the cloud by the crowd. Whether the images are via twitter, facebook, instagram, snapchat or others, the end result is that of a cascade of imagery that knows no bounds.

The surge in photo sharing across the Internet also brings with it the need for apps, tools and processes that facilitate and smooth such efforts. When I decided to create a picture of photo sharing I had to struggle with how to even show that concept. In end I felt this image of streaming photos covering everything from portraits to sunsets and from business imagery to vacations, speeding through a dawn sky along with streaks of colored light would certainly successfully illustrate the concept. Because the intended target audience for licensing the image consists primarily of art directors, designers and photo editors, I created an image with plenty of copy space and cropping auctions. By combining photos with streaks of light I enhanced the idea of speed and motion as well as the wireless and online aspect of the image. If you need an image of photo sharing or even crowd sourcing for ads, editorials or social media communications this is definitely an image worth taking a look at!

Other concepts that this image can illustrate include cloud computing, connection and future communications technology. There are probably a vast number more of ideas that this image can visually be a metaphor for...something really only limited by the imagination of those who would use the photo.
