Wrecking Ball Shattering A Wall

An iron wrecking ball slams into a stone wall piercing it and shattering out jagged pieces in a splash of flying rock. This is a photo of out with the old to allow the new to come in. It is disruptive technology and the destruction that brings forth a new paradigm. This image can be used as an advertisement for sales featuring prices that have been smashed, or for a new product or service that sets a new standard. It can be featured in editorial uses about new technologies that displace the old. This is an image about change, about renewal, and about the the way forward and the future.

Wrecking Balls And Disruptive Technology

Disruptive technology was the primary meaning I had in mind in creating this wrecking ball photo, though it suits many other visual metaphors as well. In this age where technology develops at a break-neck pace, and software and apps rule the day, there is a need for compelling imagery to demonstrate the transition from the old to the new. Square, vertical, or horizontal, the image can be cropped in any way. There is an abundance of copy space as well. I created the image from a photo of a rusty piece of metal (the inside of a dumpster near my studio), a shot of a rock surface I photographed in Yemen, and a capture of a rusty chain I shot so long ago I no longer remember the source.
