Social Media Man

To create this social media photo I turned to my archive of over a hundred portraits and spent two days creating a complex and intricate background that symbolizes social networking. By adding the man's portrait over the background an image was created that can relate the world of social media to an individual. The numerous individuals pictures portray the members of his social media community, tribe or fan base. These are people that have an interest either in him and his life, or in the company he represents, and visa versa.

Social Networking Connections and Community

This is the image of a social community and the connections within. It is an image that puts a face, or rather a whole group of faces, on social networking. The people who are the community, tribe or fan base, the people in this photo, are of a wide range of ethnic backgrounds. They are men and women, children, toddlers and babies. They are teens and seniors. This becomes then, a global image, a melting pot of mankind, an image that crosses cultural and national boundaries. This image is a metaphor for the social family of the Internet age.
