A Piggy Bank Is A Great Symbol For Saving Money. When it comes to saving money it can sometimes feel like you are riding a bucking bronco what with the ups and downs of the stock market, of volatile interest rates, and of the mortgage meltdown. This humorous concept stock photo illustrates such themes in the realms of finance, volatility, personal finance, wealth, money, investment, challenge, banking, personal investment and risk. Humor is an effective way to reach an audience especially when, as with this photograph, there is a clear concept. This image is available for stock use through Blend images. The model is Hispanic. There are a plethora of piggy bank photos in stock agencies and all over the Internet. Most of them are dull, boring and similar. It is common for such a iconic symbol as a piggy bank to be overused, and yet, some of the most successful photos of all are ones that take an image deeply ingrained in our minds to be representative of something, and portray it in a new and different way. This finance photo gets its message across quickly whether large or in a thumbnail size. The man riding the piggy bank is dressed in business attire, which make the photograph appropriate for either business investment or personal financial concepts. The image can also be interpreted as a positive or a negative one depending on the accompanying headline and or body copy. The image is on a white background which makes it easy to add headlines and body copy...and to expand the parameters of the image to virtually any extent. Since virtually everyone is concerned with money, with investments, and with building up a nest egg, the need for financial images is pervasive and overwhelming. As many such images of that nature that are available, the really great imagery is still relatively rare and can still command large figures. The use of digital capture and Photoshop opens an incredible array of possibilities for any photographer who chooses to make such tools available to him or herself. I first began using digital tools in 1990. The first time I sat down in front of Photoshop I immediately realized the potential of the program for creating exceptional imagery for the needs of business, organizations, and individuals across the world. I love the process of coming up with and creating conceptual stock photography, and sometimes collaborate with other artists. In the case of this savings oriented stock photo, I did the photography then handed over the digital work to my associate, Stephanie Roeser. Stephanie spent a couple of days fine-tuning this image to perfection. I chose to put this Rights Managed quality image into a Royalty Free collection (with Blend Images), as the message is so useful and necessary that I wanted it to be available to the widest possible audience. Many art directors and designers don't feel they can afford Rights Managed imagery and then limit themselves to Royalty Free and microstock options. As a stock photographer I believe part of my responsibility to my profession is to produce the best imagery that I can, and to make it available to as many potential users as I can. Blend Images helps with that by having thorough distribution throughout the world with over two hundred different stock entities. An important part of this personal savings picture is the detail. Just as when a cowboy rides an actual bronco, or bull, there is a rope around the piggy bank for him to hold on to, and he clutches a ten gallon cowboy hat and holds it high over his head to help keep his balance, and after all, balance is one of the keys to effective investing.
