Standing Ovation in appreciation of an outstanding performance and superior artistry and effort.

A standing ovation is the ultimate feedback of an audience for a superior performance and effort of the actors and or presenters on stage. In this photograph a group of men and women stand and clap in a standing ovation in the balcony of a theater in Buenos Aires. The theater is an old and ornate one with two balcony levels. This image was shot specifically for stock and all members of the audience are model released. A standing ovation is a great symbolic image for indicating a superior product, organization, service or effort. The applause of a standing ovation is iconic in nature and is quickly understood by viewers of any nationality making this a highly effective-cross cultural and global stock picture. This image of a group of people standing and clapping enthusiastically can be cropped for vertical and or horizontal use. There is also room for text, body-copy and headlines make this a versatile and flexible image.

Clapping, applause and standing ovations are all effective ways to communicate a job well done, a superior effort and an outstanding effort.

Achievement, accomplishment, and rewards.

Despite the lack of monetary rewards associated with receiving a standing ovation, it is an incredibly satisfying honor for a job well done. Interestingly enough, as I was photographing this standing ovation as part of my stock shoot, I felt a surge of adrenaline and pride...which was really strange because they were only giving me applause as part of their job!
