Dart Scores A Direct Hit, A Bullseye, On A Target (Dartboard) In Slow A Slow Motion Video For Business Stock Uses

A super slow motion business and concept stock video clip of a dart in slow motion hitting dead center into the dartboard target. Combine the visual interest and impact of super slow motion with the metaphor and concepts of a dart hitting a bullseye in its target and you have an excellent clip to work into corporate videos, promotions, web visuals and advertisements. In this clip there is room in the frame to add additional visual elements such as graphs and charts or type and headlines. You have versatility, impact, and flexibility in one clip.

Shooting Slo Mo Motion Clips with The Phantom HD and the GVS9000 2XU 444 VTR

The combination of GVS Systems GVS9000 2XU 444 VTR software/hardware package and the Phantom HD video camera is hard to beat. The combination provides for on-the-fly file conversions and color correction, rapid viewing of the captures and fast, ample storage. The Phantom HD camera captures high frame rates (we were shooting HD at 1000 frames per second) at 32 gigs every four seconds. A lot of light is required for those kind of capture rates. We used a total of six 2000 watt tungsten lights on the set for the dart shoot. We captured about eight takes out of maybe 30 total drops (we dropped the dart onto the board rather than trying to throw the darts horizontally).

Finding the extraordinary in the ordinary

The experience of shooting with the Phantom HD camera at those amazing frame rates impressed upon me the impact of being able to show everyday objects and situations in a way that we have never seen them before. The shoot was fascinating to both David and I (I worked with David Fischer and also with Stephanie Roeser in producing and shooting the slow motion videos). We found ourselves mesmerized and watch clips over and over again, simple things like rolling dice and blowing hair. We were seeing the extraordinary in the ordinary and it was a visual revolution and a delight to behold!
